I know, I know, it's a little late to being posting about things that happened in December, but I'm determined to blog about them nonetheless...
Kylie had her first ever dance recital December 17th. Call us biased, but we're positive that her class did the best. She was fun to watch. After it was all over, she told us, "When I was up there, I thought to myself, 'This is cool!'" It's nice to know that she gets excited about performing. We just might have a little showbiz girl in-the-making!
We celebrated Christmas at Great Grandma Russon's house this year. We had our traditional Christmas Eve dinner by candlelight and the kids opened their Christmas pajamas from Nana and Papa. We left the kids in the care of Grandma & Grandpa & Aunt Jill, while we went back home to sleep for the night. The next morning we awoke to find a huge snow drift blocking our alleyway. Scott was not to be bothered by it; he kicked the Durango into 4-wheel drive and we drove right through it. Scott was all about driving through it again, but I made him get on the road and we made it back to Grandma's house in time for breakfast and present opening. Kylie got the fish, scooter, and helmet that she asked Santa for. Both kids got new winter/snow gear and a new sled. Kylie also got new Leapster games and a case for her Leapster, movies, clothes, a sundae kit, games, art kit, etc., etc. Cooper wasn't really into opening presents. We helped him open the Dirt Devil vacuum I got him and it was pretty much over after that. There are a couple presents that he never even opened; I'm rewrapping them and giving them to him for his birthday this month!
The kids had a 2nd Christmas when Nana, Papa, Uncle G, Peyton, & Ashley came up to visit. We had a second round of present opening...the surprise gift we got was a tote full of things to take on our Wilson summer trip to Oceanside, CA in July.
All in all, it was a great Christmas holiday...

Tell Kylie and Cooper that we also enjoyed a Christmas with them.
